This chamber music collective makes worldwide tours and features some of Israel's finest musicians. Their program — featuring pianist Assaff Weisman, violinist Itamar Zorman, and clarinetist Tibi Cziger — is an exploration of the intersection of folk and concert music traditions from around the globe. The concert will include Khachaturian's "Trio"; Bartók's "Contrasts" and selections from"Hungarian Peasant Songs"; Dvorák's G-major Sonatina, Op. 100; Gershwin's "Three Preludes"; and Ben-Haim's "Three Songs without Words." An interfaith Introduction to meditation and stress reduction at Anahata Schoolhouse Yoga and Healing Arts Center, 201 North Summer St. Each workshop opens with a basic introduction to common techniques of meditation and quieting the mind, then 30 minutes in silence followed by an informal discussion. All cultural traditions are welcome and respected.
Workshop cost is on a sliding scaled but not required. The goal is to enhance health, peace, and well-being.
